The Ethicon LINX Reflux Management System is series of titanium beads, each containing a permanent magnet core, connected together with titanium wires to form a ring shape. The LINX device is surgically implanted around the lower end of the esophagus.
LINX devices implanted prior to 22nd May 2015 are not suitable for 1.5T MRI – they are only MR conditional up to 0.7T.
For LINX devices implanted after 22nd May 2015, please provide make and model or check the implant card to determine whether the patient has a device that may be MRI conditional for a 1.5T scanner. Obtain the latest MRI conditions for the device.
