Listed below are the links to the MR safety checking tools and device manuals on the manufacturers website for the most common manufacturers of CIEDs. If you come across a manufacturer not listed here, please let the MR physics team know.

The purpose of hosting these links here is to direct staff to the most up to date information for each of the vendors as relying on a browser search engine will not necessarily take you to the most recent version of the manual or the appropriate manual for your country.

Note of beeper function for some Boston Scientific devices

Depending on the beeper type, this functionality may or may not be lost during the MR. The cardiac physiologists will be able to determine the beeper type as outlined in appendix C of the device specific manual. The armature beeper type may lose its function during MR while the piezo beeper type will not be damaged by the MR.

Once you know about whether the beeper function is likely to be lost or not, if the former, then patient/referrer need to be aware of the implications. If cardiac physiologists can determine the beeper function, they can probably best advise.
