Here we provide information relating to work conducted to achieve QIBA conformance using the Caliber MRI diffusion phantom. Initial work focussed on conformance for our Siemens Prisma (3T) and Siemens Sola system (1.5T) at the Glasgow CRF, QEUH Glasgow and Beatson Oncology Centre, Glasgow respectively.

Provided are .exar1 files and .pdf protocol files. It is hoped that sharing these will help others establishing protocols at their own sites. Of note is that these protocols have been tried and tested to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Caliber’s qCAL software. Moreover, the T1-w scans required for assessment of the LC-thermometer have also been optimised to achieve good image quality in a reasonable acquisition time. Note in protocols below while 1 diffusion acquisition is shown for each orientation, QIBA conformance require 4 repeats in ‘axial’ orientation. We suggest using ‘repeat and open’ in order to ensure positioning remains unchanged across these repeat acquisitions.
